ABOUT US

Kundel Industries Inc.

Kundel takes pride in doing things different and to the highest standards. We not only are family owned with all of our products made in the USA, but we manufacture high-quality enclosed track overhead cranes featuring top-tier capabilities and an industry-leading 10:1 Safety Factor. In addition to our advanced crane technology, we are committed to supporting inner-city rescue missions on a daily basis. Some of our most sought-after features include internal electric bars and cantilever support posts, offering superior square footage coverage and extended spans, even at 3-ton capacity.

1.5% of every crane sale directly benefits missions like the Warren Family Mission, which provides essential support such as food, clothing, and shelter to homeless individuals and families. Contributions also assist Hannah’s House, a shelter aiding abused women grappling with drug and alcohol addiction, offering them hope for a brighter tomorrow—all at no cost.

You can make a difference in the Ohio Valley Area by donating to support the Warren Family Mission, ensuring that children receive vital resources like food, shelter, and clothing.

OUR HISTORY

A family of innovators

Kundel Industries began in the dining room of the Kundel family household, founded by contractor Robert Kundel Sr. With over 30 years of experience in the excavating business and deep family roots in construction, Robert found himself reassessing his position in the industry amidst the construction market downturn of the late 1980s.

Collaborating with a local engineer, Robert leveraged his construction background to develop trench boxes tailored to contractors’ needs. These boxes were meticulously crafted considering practical usage factors such as pipe length, excavator capabilities, soil conditions, and typical contractor wear and tear.

The challenge of constructing superior trench boxes prompted Kundel to upgrade material handling capabilities. The complexity of the task demanded more than a single large overhead crane. Instead, Kundel Industries installed a network of parallel runways adorned with multiple bridges, incorporating innovative engineering concepts from ages past like pendulating runways and articulating bridges. These advancements ensured exceptionally smooth travel and minimized stress on the supporting structure.

Kundel Industries remains family owned and operated and is committed not only to manufacturing top-tier equipment in the industry but also to continually enhancing and perfecting the quality of our products.
